FAQ

  • What is a commission?

    A commission is a fee paid based on a sale amount, commonly calculated as a percentage of the sale.

  • How do I calculate commission from a percentage?

    commission = saleAmount × (commissionRate ÷ 100). Example: 1,000 at 10% → 100.

  • What is net payout?

    Net payout is what remains after commission and optional fees: net = saleAmount − commission − fees + bonus (if any).

  • Can I include a bonus or fixed fee?

    Yes. This calculator supports an optional bonus (added to payout) and an optional fixed fee (subtracted from payout).

  • Does this include taxes or withholding?

    No. Taxes and withholding vary by country and contract. If you want an after-tax estimate, subtract expected taxes separately.

  • Can the commission rate be 0% or over 100%?

    Yes. 0% means no commission. Over 100% is mathematically allowed but uncommon in real agreements.
